Omdat ik niet drie weken lang leuke afspeellijsten met kerstliedjes kan maken, deze week eventjes iets anders. Een muzieklijstje met nummers die je waarschijnlijk niet bij mij zult verwachten. Ben jij niet dat jonge blonde meisje met een voorliefde voor foute popmuziek en britpop?
Ja dat klopt, maar ik koester een ook een grote liefde voor wat oudere liedjes. Het liefst uit papa’s kast. Ze doen me niet alleen herinneren aan vroegere tijden, aan vakanties of aan weekenden met chips en limonade, ze zijn ook gewoon echt goed.
Het nummer Ripples van Genesis is zelfs al een paar jaar mijn meest favoriete nummer. Het is zo lekker dramatisch en dan niet in een Miley Cyrus-kinda a way, maar een volledig verantwoorde. Toch? Here comes the sun is mijn favoriete Beatles nummer, en dat komt niet alleen door mijn vaders cd-collectie, maar ook doordat ze hem draaien in ‘The Parent Trap’ haha. As it is van Pat Metheny hoort eigenlijk niet echt in het rijtje thuis, want zij maken geen rock maar jazzmuziek, toch wilde ik hem als soort van bonus aan dit lijstje toevoegen. Dit is namelijk mijn ultieme vakantienummer. M’n vader draait deze altijd in de auto op weg naar Oostenrijk, echt al m’n hele leven, jullie begrijpen het geluksgevoel dat ik bij dat nummer krijg?
En.. luisteren jullie ook vaak oude muziek? Of hebben jullie zoiets van ‘laat die oude muziek maar lekker voor de oude generatie, oud nieuws, ik luister alleen naar nummers uit dit millennium?’
