M’n tweede dag Fashionweek begon niet zoals ‘ie in m’n dromen zou beginnen. Ik voelde me brak, had het gevoel dat ik twee flessen slechte wijn achterover had geslagen, brakker dan brak dus. Eventjes wilde ik me omdraaien en me de hele dag verstoppen onder de dekens, maar dat kon ik niet. Ik wist dat ik daar spijt van zou gaan krijgen, dus stond ik op, hoopte ik dat een warme douche wonderen zou verrichten en hees ik mezelf in de meest comfortabele (misschien niet zo AIFW waardige) outfit die ik zo snel kon bedenken.
Ik checkte de inhoud van m’n tas, iPhone check, portemonnee check, camera check, sleutels check, toilettasje check, ready to go! In de auto naar de tram, verliep allemaal prima. Het probleem ontstond pas toen ik zo’n zes haltes met de tram verder was. Had ik de batterij eigenlijk wel uit de oplader gehaald en in m’n camera gestopt? Eh nee. Shit, wat nu, terug? Ik was al bijna een half uur onderweg, ik had een date met Ashley, ik zou veel meer dan ook veel te laat komen. Weer drie haltes verder besloot ik ‘wat is een blogger zonder camera?’ niks dus. Uitgestapt bij de volgende halte, trammetje terug genomen, weer naar huis met de auto en weer terug. Ik was verrasssend kalm. Ik ben normaal een stresskip maar ik kon het deze keer relativeren, eh had stressen zin? Zou het dan sneller gaan? Nou dan!
Uiteindelijk kwam ik maar een half uurtje te laat aan op Schiphol, waar m’n date met Ashley plaatsvond. Bij Starbucks, waar ik me verlekkerde aan de Caramel Machiato met extra suiker die zij dronk en ik toch ook wel genoot van een grote cappuccino met extra espressoshots om het geheel niet te melkerig te maken. Het was zo’n perfecte eerste date, waarin alles gewoon vanzelf ging, no awkwardness at all! Ash en ik gaan in juni waarschijnlijk een weekje naar de zon, low budget, alleen maar salades eten, water drinken en vooral heel stil op ons bedje in de zon liggen. Leuk he? Kan nu al niet wachten, twee blonde bloggers op een zonnig eiland, zien jullie het al voor je? Dat moet mooie blogs opleveren!
Goed, Fashionweek. Ik was er om half drie, ruim op tijd, ik haalde m’n kaarten voor de show van Marloes Blaas, had het gezellig met mede Grazia Insiders Manon en Debbie en later met de prachtige Ilanka en de grappige Puck. Marloes was top, toen mochten we weer drie uur wachten op de volgende show, maar wachten is tijdens AIFW geen probleem, want je kijkt je ogen uit. We zaten in de lounge, maakte met afschuwelijke temperaturen outfitfoto’s en toen was het alweer tijd voor Addy.
Na Addy had m’n hoofd en de rest van m’n lichaam het gehad en was het tijd voor het glamourous fabulous Station Sloterdijk. Ik miste net m’n trein, at tegen beter weten in pasta bij Julia’s, kreeg natuurlijk last van m’n buik, kon er eigenlijk niet mee zitten omdat ik wist dat ik over een uurtje toch in bed zou liggen en zo geschiedde.
