Op het moment dat ik dit schrijf zit ik in het zonnetje in de tuin, moed te verzamelen om tien kilometer hard te gaan lopen. De laatste keer dat ik liep, was twee weken geleden, en dat waren slechts vijf kilometer. Ik heb dan vorige week wel iedere ochtend een bergje opgerend, maar dat was op m’n UGGS en hoewel m’n hart iedere keer zo tekeer ging dat hij mijn lichaam leek te verlaten, is dat toch niet echt hardlopen.
Ik weet dat ik het kan, maar ik weet ook dat ik de afgelopen weken eigenlijk niet hard genoeg getraind heb om de halve marathon te lopen. Ik zal hem op ‘karakter’ moeten lopen. Ik weet wat ik wil, ik wil die halve marathon uitlopen. Hoe lang ik daar over ga doen maakt me eigenlijk nog niet eens zo heel veel uit, als ik maar binnen die tweeënhalf uur loop, anders telt m’n tijd niet. Ik hoef dus ook eigenlijk niet heel erg zenuwachtig te zijn, zo lang ik niet ziek word en het niet stormt of regent, dan komt het gewoon goed.
Ik denk vaak ‘wat als ik het niet haal’, maar dat is een domme gedachte want ik weet dat ik het haal. Ik weet dat ik tot het allerlaatste uiterste gaatje zal gaan om m’n doel te bereiken. Ik geef namelijk niet op en falen is niet mijn ding. Als ik écht iets wil en als ik het enigszins zelf in handen heb, dan lukt het meestal wel.
Dus eh.. ik ga nu m’n luie stoel in het zonnetje in het meest wind-gunstige hoekje in de tuin verlaten, ik ga m’n hardloopspullen bij elkaar zoeken en ik ga hardlopen. Because I can, Because I wanna, Because I will.

Verder is het 18km altijd moeilijk bij een halve en hou daar rekening mee en de laatste 2 km zal goed gaan.
Benieuwd hoe het zal verlopen en ik zeg 2:12 uur…Als je wel mer loop km had gemaakt de afgelopen weken had je sneller kunnen gaan.
Nu aan jouw wat de uitdaging is ;-).
