Wat gaat er mis als je van de negen dagen dat je op ZOMERvakantie bent eigenlijk pas één dag echt van de zon genoten hebt en pas drie keer je bikini gedragen hebt..? Dat is de vraag die ik mezelf vanmorgen om een uurtje of tien stelde. Ik denk dat ik nog nooit een zomervakantie in Italie gehad heb met zoveel wolken. Ik denk dat The Universe me wil behoeden voor rimpels, ik kan namelijk geen andere goede reden bedenken waarom er eind juli in Toscane niet gewoon iedere dag van 9.00u tot 21.00u een lekker warm zonnetje schijnt.
Goed ik KLAAG natuurlijk niet want ik vermaak me prima en daar komt bij, ik loop op deze manier ook geen nieuwe rimpels op (als ik zou klagen zou ik trouwens alsnog rimpels krijgen, want chagrijnige ontevreden mensen krijgen KLAAGrimpels). En vanmorgen werd mijn geduld eindelijk beloond, de zon scheen, en hoe! Met factor 30 rond mijn ogen, factor 20 op de rest heb ik van 10.00u tot 16.00u heerlijk gezond en ik heb zelfs iets semi-literairs gelezen. Ik heb altijd hele wilde plannen met stapels boeken, maar uiteindelijk lees ik er misschien één en dat is dan meestal zo’n Sex and the City/Gossip Girl-achtig geval. Vandaag las ik de eerste helft van Catcher in the Rye van J.D. Salinger. Ik wil dat boek al minstens vijf jaar lezen en nu nam m’n zusje het voor me mee en heeft ze me zo ongeveer gedwongen om het te lezen (hoewel het volgens haar pas leuk wordt in het laatste hoofdstuk). Heb ik gelukkig geen last van hoor…
Toen ik om 16.00u klaar was met de zon (en de zon met ons, want die ging weer verder met haar gewoonlijke spelletje verstoppertje) heb ik ook nog iets zeer spannends gedaan, ik heb namelijk per fiets een berg beklommen. Ik lachte Roos & Felix kei hard uit omdat ze niet boven kwamen en vanmiddag mocht ik van mijn vader laten zien wat ik nu eigenlijk waard was. Goed, dat verschrikkelijke enorm arrogante zelfvertrouwen was ineens als sneeuw voor de zon verdwenen. Goed, het gedeelte op ‘vals plat’ ging prima en daardoor werd ik misschien wat overenthousiast, toen het ‘vals plat’ overging in ‘gemeen steil’ ging ik binnen vijf minuten stuk. Oh ja ik heb de top zeker gehaald, want ik ben natuurlijk veel te trots om te falen, maar vraag me niet hoe. Laat ik het zo stellen, de pannenkoeken die ik tijdens de lunch gegeten had leken ineens niet zo’n goed idee meer. But I’ve made it.
Op dit moment is het wachten op de eerste druppels. Ik zit nog heel erg stoer in mijn bikini buiten, maar de wolken pakken samen en de lucht wordt zwarter en zwarter. Ach ja, een beetje sensatie is ook niet verkeerd en misschien lukt het me vanavond ein-de-lijk om de bliksem met mijn camera vast te leggen. Ben ik de enige die dat iedere keer weer probeert en keer op keer faalt? Kwestie van geduld denk ik, heb ik helaas niet zo..

Ik heb dat boek ook gelezen, vond het een beetje een vreemd boek.. Maar ik moest hem voor school lezen en daar werd ieder hoofdstuk tot in de kleinste details behandeld, dus daar kan het goed aan liggen ;)
