De volgende dag zaten we om negen uur alweer aan het ontbijt. De zon scheen vandaag wel en daar moesten we natuurlijk optimaal gebruik van maken. Het ontbijt was heerlijk. Ik heb genoten van de verse broodjes, Spaanse hammen, het fruit en vooral de muffins en mini gebakjes. Heerlijk hotelontbijtje dus.
’s Ochtends hebben we vooral heel erg cultureel gedaan. We zijn naar Park Guelle geweest waar heel erg veel Gaudi te bewonderen valt en naar de Sagrada Familia, de Basiliek die Gaudi eind negentiende ontworpen heeft, maar die nog steeds niet afgebouwd is. De huidige opleverdatum is 2026. Haha. Heel erg bijzonder. Park Guelle was ook de moeite waard. Laura had me van te voren bang gemaakt dat we een hele steile berg moesten beklimmen om er te komen, maar uiteindelijk bleek er op die berg dus gewoon een roltrap te liggen, niks te klimmen dus.
’s Middags was het tijd voor het strand. Drie uurtjes lagen we heerlijk in het zonnetje. Zo fijn dat Barcelona gewoon echt aan het strand ligt, een paar haltes met de metro vanaf de winkelstraten en je bent op het strand. Na het strand zijn we direct door gegaan voor een cocktailtje. Daar kwam ik in aanraking met het fenomeen Zuid Europese mannen. Halleluja als er niemand anders op het terras was geweest waren we zeer zeker verkracht. We kwamen binnen lopen en werden letterlijk besprongen. De cocktails die ze ons aanboden sloegen we af, maar ze bleven vervelen. Totdat er twee andere meiden het terras opkwamen, die duidelijk wel in voor een beetje aandacht waren. God wat was ik blij dat we die cocktails hadden afgeslagen, want tien minuten later lagen ze gewoon al te rollebollen over de loungebanken. Niet mijn idee van stijl.
Bij thuiskomst bleek helaas dat Laura nogal was verbrand. Ze had zichzelf toch echt vijf keer ingesmeerd, maar haar gezicht zat onder de brandblaren. Heel erg vervelend en pijnlijk. Dat was dus ook direct de laatste keer dat wij in de zon hebben gelegen ;-). ’s Avonds zijn we naar een heel klein schattig restaurantje geweest, Big Fish. Ze hadden sushi en visgerechtjes en het was echt onwijs lekker en gezellig. Helemaal geen toeristen, de bediening sprak niet eens engels, dus we hebben alles met handen en voeten moeten bestellen, maar dat maakt het ook wel weer speciaal. Wederom een heerlijke (goedkope) Verdejo gedronken. Dit keer dronk Laura alleen niet zo door en heb ik zo’n beetje de hele fles in mijn eentje naar achter geklokt. Voor iemand die net klaar is met een antibiotica kuur van een half jaar (en dus vrij weinig alcohol gewend is) was dat best wel spannend. Gelachen hebben we in ieder geval!

En nee ik heb de Sagrada niet beklommen, stond weer een hele lange rij en het kostte ook 12 euro? in ieder geval, ik had er niet zo'n zin in eigenlijk haha. We hadden ook maar zo kort de tijd voor alles!
Het jurkje dat ik draag is van Compagna Italiana, maar is al twee jaar oud. Het rokje van Laura is van ZARA en is ook van een eerdere collectie!
