M’n fashionweek ontmaagding zit er op. En ik wil nooit meer iets anders. Kunnen we dat misschien soms even regelen?
Natuurlijk vertrok ik veel te laat van huis, want ik had ’s ochtends een spannende aankoop gedaan (iMac!!!) en daardoor was ik een klein beetje de tijd vergeten. Stond ik bij de stoplichten, kwam ik er achter dat ik m’n visitekaartjes vergeten was. U-turn gemaakt, bijna drie ongelukken veroorzaakt (grapje) en tien minuten later weer verder waar we gebleven waren.
Oh ja tanken dat moest ook nog, begon dat vervelende lampje zelfs te knipperen. Ik gooi dat ding vol, zie met pijn in mijn hart het schrikbarend hoge bedrag, loop naar de kassa, is er een klein probleempje, de meneer voor mij heeft per ongeluk mijn bedrag afgerekend. Kan gebeuren natuurlijk, maar op dit moment kon ik daar niet echt veel respect voor opbrengen. Ik zuchtte dan ook een aantal keren erg diep (wat de andere klanten ook opviel).
Verder verliep m’n reis voorspoedig, zondere enkele file, en dat in de spits! Bij Sloterdijk ging het echter fout. Ik wilde in de P+R, maar had het adres van het station ingevoerd. Bij het station aangekomen, kon ik natuurlijk de P+R niet vinden, dus hup nieuw adres erin, het adres van de Qpark voor het westerpark. Twee tientjes duurder, maar eh.. I had a show to catch!
De Westergasfabriek was voor mij de hemel. Zo veel mooie mensen, zoveel mensen die ik kende van gezicht, maar die mij natuurlijk helemaal niet kende. Best vreemd, ik heb het idee dat ik ze ken maar zij hebben geen flauw benul wie ik ben. Gekke situatie eigenlijk, toch? Al snel zag ik Debbie en Joyce die ik kende van de Grazia Insiders en direct was ik niet alleen meer. Niet dat ik me een moment alleen voelde, want mensen kijken was vanavond dus gewoon echt fantastisch!
Het was nog een beetje aftasten, met m’n camera, welke instelling kan ik het beste gebruiken? Met de honderdduizend dingen die ik bij me had en die ik continu ‘kwijt’ was. Met het feit dat ik gewoon tussen de fashion-incrowd van Nederland liep.. Ja, het was bijzonder.
Om half elf zat ik weer in m’n auto, een uurtje later was ik thuis. Geflitst en wel, maar daar wil ik nu liever niet over nadenken. Oeps. Morgen met de trein, zal me leren.

Ik ga morgen naar 2 shows, niet voor het eerst, maar wel voor het eerst met spiegelreflexcamera.. (Toch een soort ontmaagding). Heb je ook foto's van de catwalk gemaakt? Zo ja, welke instellingen gebruikte jij? Wel flitser/geen flitser?
