In het kader van welkom thuis; na iets meer dan twee weken vakantie geen enkel vakantiekaartje van een vriendinnetje op een camping in Frankrijk, maar wel drie enveloppen van het Centraal Justitieel Incassobureau en twee fijne blauwe van de Belastingdienst. Alle vijf gericht aan ondergetekende.
Waar is die tijd dat je op de achterbank zat na een zomervakantie en hoe dichter je in de buurt van “thuis” kwam, je nieuwsgieriger werd naar de post die je in de tussentijd gekregen had. En dat papa en mama dan zeiden “nee eerst helpen de auto uitpakken en daarna mag je naar de post kijken”. Uiteindelijk vond je dan twee vakantiekaartjes en een paar Tina’s. Goed, die tijd is voor mij voorgoed voorbij. Ik kijk niet meer uit naar de postbode (hooguit naar de pakketjesbezorger), nee momenteel vrees ik die goede man.
De brieven van de belastingdienst? Het is weer tijd om de verzekering van m’n auto te betalen en een één of andere aanslag die vast wel ergens goed voor zal zijn te betalen. De brieven van het CJI? Houd je vast. Drie bekeuringen tussen 13 en 17 juli.
Ja lieve lezers, in de 2,5 jaar dat ik met recht een auto mag besturen heb ik geen enkele verkeersfout begon (althans, geen verkeersfout waar ik later voor beboet ben), maar nu heb ik er drie in slechts vijf dagen tijd. Wat zeg ik, ik heb er zelfs twee in nog geen drie kwartier. Well how about that? Je zou bijna denken dat ik een snelheidsduivel ben.
Ach het waren schoonheidsfoutjes, ik bedoel, ik ben niet bepaald gepakt met Formule 1 snelheden, maar drie bekeuringen, dat telt lekker op. Mijn eigen gemaakte verkeersregel ‘nooit meer dan 10 kilometer per uur te hard’ gaat vanaf nu de prullenbak in. Want lieve lezers, voor 5 kilometer per uur te hard rijden binnen de bebouwde kom, krijg je in Nederland een boete van 33 euro en dat is toch een boodschappenmandje vol. Rijd je 8 kilometer per uur te hard, binnen de bebouwde kom, dan kost dat je precies 48 euro. Nee wat je beter kunt doen is 5 kilometer te hard rijden op de snelweg, dat kost je (maar) 29 euro.
Oh en vergeet je bekeuringen vooral niet te betalen, kost je al snel het dubbele, of je draait een paar weken de gevangenis in (als je echt heel erg lang wacht dan…). Wat mij nu dus te doen staat?
Betalen.
Lesson learned (hoop ik).

Dat is nog eens fijn thuis komen (NOT!). Maar troost je, ik had na een maand mijn rijbewijs al direct 2 bekeuringen in een week te pakken. Ook van die lullige paar kilometertjes te hard. Nou een fijnere thuiskomst namens de postbode kan je je niet wensen. Ik kijk al jaren niet meer uit naar de postbode want de leukste post is allemaal digitaal geworden. Best zonde dus..
Dag onschuldig bestaan. Dat is inderdaad soms knap vervelend. Ik pleit trouwens nog steeds voor (liefdes)brieven en handgeschreven kaartjes (en postpapier ruilen, haha).

Bekeuringen zijn echt de zuurste betalingen die je MOET betalen. Als je nou 20 km te hard had gereden, oké, maar 5 of 8 km. hmpf, dat ze iemand anders lastig gaan vallen die als een wegpiraat rond rijd..
Aahh wat frustrerend van die boetes, ik weet precies wat je bedoeld! Heb ook in 3 jaar geen boete gehad en nu ineens 2 in 2 weken. Die regel van nooit meer dan 10 km te hard ga ik ook maar inkorten naar 5 ja.. Hoop dat je wel een leuke vakantie hebt gehad :)! Leuke schrijfstijl heb je trouwens!

Amai, bij ons in België zijn de verkeersboeteregels toch weer heel anders. Of je nu 1 km/h te snel rijdt, of je rijdt 10km/h te snel, is het à ltijd 50 euro. Vanaf je boven de 10km/h te snel zit, tellen ze er een bepaald bedrag bij per te snel gereden kilometer. Maar hier geldt ook de persoonlijke regel van 10km/h te snel rijden mag, als de verkeersregels écht absurd zijn of al er een auto in m’n gat zit te duwen. Omdat ik weet dat de boete dan ‘maar’ 50 euro is, toch ook al een mooie winkelkar vol…
Ah, dat is echt balen ja. Ik word al helemaal zenuwachtig van die blauwe helsbrieven op de mat :(
