Ik werd wakker om negen uur. Ik draaide me nog eens om, en nog een keer, en nog een keer.. en als er bij het ouderlijk huis geen spannend pakketje bezorgd zou worden voor yours truly dan zouden dat de enige tekenen van leven van mij geweest zijn vanmorgen.
Dus om tien uur zat ik in de auto op weg naar de pakjesmeneer, die eens niet op zich liet wachten. Om kwart voor elf kwam die geweldige doos van Net A Porter. Serieus, als je jezelf eens online wilt verwennen en je bankrekening wel wat kan hebben, dan moet je wat bij Net A Porter bestellen. Die verpakking alleen al maakt de 35 euro verzendkosten goed (hoewel ik die vorige week niet hoefde te betalen, want de verzendkosten waren vorige week gratis!)
Nou nu zijn jullie waarschijnlijk wel benieuwd wat er dan in het pakje zat.. of niet, want als jullie mijn twitter een beetje volgen dan weten jullie dat natuurlijk al lang. Goed, omdat ik die halve marathon toch maar eventjes gelopen heb, besloot ik om een cadeautje voor mezelf te kopen. Een echt hardloopbroekje voor de zomer. Super schattig, kort, zwart, van Stella McCartney voor Adidas. Oh en als ik zeg kort, dan bedoel ik ook echt kort. Moet ik nog wel aan wennen, maar het loopt goddelijk heb ik vanmiddag al ondervonden.
Want nadat ik drie uur in de zon heb gezeten met m’n laptop en de laatste vier afleveringen van Pretty Little Liars (ooooh wat een verschrikkelijk einde.. dat kunnen ze ons toch niet aandoen?) heb ik ook nog eventjes tien kilometer hard gelopen. Alleen omdat ik dat zelf heel graag wilde. Het ging lekker, zelfs m’n persoonlijk record weer een beetje aangescherpt, tien kilometer in 54.11, ik zeg.. dit jaar loop ik hem nog onder de 50 minuten!
Na een heerlijke douche in de auto gestapt richting huis en toch nog eventjes met m’n hardloopschoenen langs de hardloopwinkel gereden. En waar ik al bang voor was, bleek waar te zijn. M’n schoenen konden naar het kerkhof. Er zit vrijwel geen profiel meer onder en daarbij zijn ze ook nog eens een beetje te klein (wat mijn kapotte tenen ook wel verklaard). Nu vraag ik me toch af, ik heb een paar jaar geleden nog zo goed m’n voeten op laten meten en die man was er toen van overtuigd dat m’n schoenen goed zaten, zijn mijn voeten dan echt nog een maat gegroeid?
Na anderhalf uur stond ik buiten. 130 euro armer, en een afschuwelijk paar hardloopschoenen in maat 42(!!!!!) rijker. Er was geen schoen die mooi was, en alles wat er nog wel een beetje modieus uit zag liep verschrikkelijk. Goed, wat me nu te doen staat, veel door de blubber lopen, zodat dat felblauw en zilver er heel snel vanaf is.
Om half zeven dan uiteindelijk echt thuis, honger natuurlijk. Dus amandelen en cranberries erbij gepakt. Friends aangezet, glaasje wijn ingeschonken en de keukenkastjes afgestruind naar ingrediënten voor een semi voedend avondmaal. Het werd uiteindelijk.. jullie raden het waarschijnlijk al, risotto. Risotto met spinazie, champignons en walnoten.. En ik ben best wel trots op mezelf, want het smaakte toch eigenlijk best wel heel erg goed.
En nu.. zit ik op de bank met een glas Sauvignon Blanc, Friends nog steeds aan en ik denk dat ik vanavond maar eens een lekker marathonnetje ga houden, zo lang ik niet in slaap val.

Ik heb niet van mijn zonnige dag kunnen genieten… Moest studeren en heb daarnaast ook veel geTwitterd en me vermaakt me jouw oude blogs. Heerlijk om te lezen hoe je afstudeerde, naar Barcelona, Italie en Parijs ging! Ik werd er zo vrolijk van. Was het de zomer of was het jou? Ik weet het niet, maar bedankt in ieder geval.

Je hebt me gemotiveerd om te gaan hardlopen (ja, echt!). Ik ben een fervente lezer van jouw weblog (als in, ik kom hier elke dag..) en vind het heerlijk om je verhalen te lezen. Ik ben net als Suusje Q ook erg benieuwd wat je nu gaat doen. Misschien een stage lopen?
Fijn dat je een Stella McCartney voor Adidas broekje hebt.. Kan je fijn en toch stylish verantwoord hardlopen. Ik vind zelf mijn hardloopschoenen (ook hardblauw met zilver, Asics) ook vreselijk lelijk maar het belangrijkste is dat je er goed op loopt..

Verder zou ik wel de loop schoenen eerst eens goed inlopen en rustig aan de eerste 50km!.
Veel loop plezier en onder de 50 minuten kan je zeker, maar dan wel in en tijdens een wedstrijd ;-).
