Skeeleren is één van m’n eerste sportieve liefdes, ik herinner me nog heel goed dat toen ik net begon met bloggen (bijna acht jaar geleden) ik een heuse skeelerfase had. Het was zomervakantie, het was nog zo’n vakantie zonder bijbaantje en ik was dus iedere dag, hele dagen aan het skeeleren. En mooi dat m’n kont er van werd! Kan natuurlijk wel iets te maken hebben met het feit dat ik het figuur van een veertienjarige had, maar toch.. het idee is prachtig. Ik ga twee weekjes skeeleren, en op Zakynthos loop ik met een prachtig kontje.
Ik hou van sporten die je ieder moment van de dag kan doen, die relatief weinig geld kosten, ik hou van cardio in de buitenlucht. Niets fijner, echt waar! Ik heb m’n oude iPod shuffle van stal gehaald, een paar reanimatie technieken toegepast en dat ding was binnen een uur weer mijn grootste vriend. Legging aan m’n benen, soepel vallend shirtje erop, zonnebril op m’n neus en natuurlijk m’n polsbeschermers, want zonder voel ik me plots toch wel heel erg breekbaar.
De eerste meters over de klinkerweggetjes leek het even alsof ik het weer helemaal opnieuw moest leren, maar eenmaal op het asfalt, tussen de kassen door voelde het net alsof ik nooit anders had gedaan.
Dus lieve lezers, zin om te sporten maar geen zin om echt hardcore te zweten, in desperate need for something that firms up your ass.. ga skeeleren, ik meen het serieus. Ik voel het nu al. Au!

>Toevallig heb ik vorige week het stof van mijn skates geblazen om weer eens een rondje te gaan maken; het is echt lang geleden! Vroeger deed ik het inderdaad elke dag!
>Denk dat het wel heel erg uitmaakt waar je woont. Ik verblijf nu tijdelijk in het heuvellandschap en daar is skaten geen plezier, zeker niet als je niet weet hoe je moet remmen. Midden in de stad wonen is ook niet bevorderlijk.
Maar ik vind skaten wel fantastisch. Misschien moet ik maar weer eens nieuwe skates kopen, een cursusje remmen nemen om vervolgens een mooie afwisseling te hebben voor hardlopen.
