Ze voorspelden grijze luchten en regen, kijk en met zulke voorspellingen wordt ieder zonnestraaltje natuurlijk geadoreerd alsof het een godsgeschenk is. Althans, zo gaat dat bij mij. Na precies een uurtje zon kwam dan ein-de-lijk de voorspelde bewolking en kijk dan is het zaak om zo snel mogelijk leuke plannen te maken, want zielig bij je tentje zitten terwijl het grauw en grijs is, not my cup of tea. Kijk hevige onweersbuien zijn spannend en gezellig (mits ze niet te lang duren en op een tijdstip komen dat het mij uitkomt natuurlijk), maar van dat saaie Nederlandweer, nogmaals, not my cup of tea.
Omdat inmiddels het middaguur al geslagen had besloten we niet al te ver weg te gaan en weer eens de Chianti-route te rijden. De Chianti is een gebied in Toscane waar ze de Chianti wijn verbouwen en produceren. En het is niet alleen leuk om ondertussen naar buiten te kijken het is ook zeer noodzakelijk wil je niet alles wat je de afgelopen drie dagen gegeten hebt er naderhand weer uitgooien. Er zitten nogal wat bochten in de weg.
We reden naar het dorpje Greve, ik denk dat je Greve wel de hoofdstad van de Chianti mag noemen. We kochten er wijn, slenterden wat langs zachtjes kabbelende riviertjes, kerkjes en door typisch Italiaanse straatjes oh en natuurlijk werd er tijd gemaakt voor GELATO. Mijn eerste echte Italiaanse ijsje van de vakantie. Ik heb gister ook al wel een ijsje gegeten maar dat was heel erg gênant een sundae ijsje met karamel van de MacDonalds langs de snelweg. Echt vers gemaakt Italiaans bosvruchten en citroen ijs smaakt toch eigenlijk wel een stuk beter.
Met ijsje in de hand liepen we naar de auto, want de dreigende luchten voorspelden niet veel goeds. En onze vermoedens bleken uit te komen, niet veel later kwam de regen met bakken uit de lucht. Inmiddels zitten we aan de chips en nootjes en wordt er gesproken over een pasta carbonara die straks klaar gemaakt gaat worden. De regen is inmiddels andere mensen lastig aan het vallen en voor de komende dagen wordt er geen druppel meer voorspeld. Oh well.. I could used to this.

Vrienden van ons zaten ook op de camping in Italië (heb alleen geen idee waar precies) en zijn vandaag naar huis gegaan omdat het slechte weer maar aan bleef houden.. Ik hoop dat het voor jou beter uitpakt!
