Bij gebrek aan samenhang in mijn leven en dus de mogelijkheid voor een samenhangend verhaaltje, hier wat puntjes van mijn leven.
1. Ik heb vandaag ein-de-lijk het boek The Time Traveler’s Wife uitgelezen. Ik heb denk ik nog nooit zo lang over een boek gedaan dat me zo ontzettend boeide. Ik begon ergens halverwege januari, las toen in twee dagen de helft van het boek en maandag, een maand later, haalde ik het eindelijk weer van mijn nachtkastje. Ik weet niet waarom ik zo lang gewacht heb met de tweede helft van het boek, maar het ligt zeker niet aan het boek, want dat is prachtig. Meeslepend van begin tot eind, de laatste honderd (van de vijfhonderdtwintig) pagina’s toch echt wel heel erg emotioneel en zo anders dan andere boeken, maar toch ook wel weer het ouderwetse, onbegrensde, onbevangen liefdesverhaal. Kortom, aanrader for sure, ben benieuwd of ik dit jaar nog een beter boek ga lezen. (Het boek wat nu op me ligt te wachten gaat het zeker niet overtreffen.. Heb gister eindelijk het nieuwe boek van Lauren Conrad, Sweet Little Lies binnen gekregen, en hoewel dat waarschijnlijk heerlijk leesvoer is, geloof ik niet echt dat erg hoogstaand is.)
2. Met mijn scriptie gaat het momenteel niet echt goed. Mijn inleiding is geschreven, het eerste hoofdstuk heb ik ook ingeleverd, maar het tweede hoofdstuk.. Ik heb vandaag van elf tot vijf naar mijn worddocumentje gestaard, ik heb een paar zinnen geschreven, een paar gewist en heb nu uiteindelijk een pagina met allemaal kleine versnipperde tekstjes waarvan ik niet weet of ze überhaupt wel geschikt zijn voor mijn scriptie en waar alles behalve samenhang in zit. Vandaag was gewoon geen scriptiedag, morgenochtend voor college nog maar eens naar de bibliotheek om wat meer boeken te halen en dan proberen we het op wintersport gewoon wel weer. Jammer dan. Apres-skiën is toch niet mijn ding en ’s avonds heb ik toch niet heel veel te doen. Die in het Duits nagesynchroniseerde herhalingen van Gilmore Girls heb ik nou ook wel weer gezien.
3. Na de heerlijke pancakes, heb ik weer een heerlijk en super makkelijk mini-receptje gevonden. Een warm appeltje met rozijntjes en kaneel. Zo ontzettend lekker en hoe gezond wil je het hebben? En makkelijk dus. Doe wat rozijntjes in kokend water, snijd een appel in kleine blokjes en besprenkel met kaneel Haal de rozijntjes uit het kokende water en mix met de appel. Doe het mengsel in een hitte/magnetron bestendig bakje en verwarm twee minuten op de hoogste stand. Et voilà, super snelle snack/dessert en niet meer dan 90 calorieën.
4. Ik heb zo ontzettend veel zin in wintersport! Het is een klein beetje jammer dat net op de dag dat ik aankom erg veel sneeuw wordt verwacht (ik ben een klein beetje een mooi weer skiër). Er is het hele jaar nog niet zoveel sneeuw verwacht als ze zaterdag verwachten. Echt, ik ben voor het geluk geboren. Tot zover mijn mini-klaagzang. Zoals ik al zei, ik heb zo veel zin in de vakantie en ik ben vastberaden mijn zin niet door zo’n stom sneeuwbuitje te laten verpesten. Ik ga dit jaar al weer voor de achttiende keer naar het zelfde plaatsje (de keren dat ik er op zomervakantie geweest ben niet meegerekend) en voor de zestiende keer naar het zelfde appartement. Dat voelt dus echt een klein beetje als thuis komen.
Ik hou van dat hele wintersport ritueel. De autorit, de overnachting, het super uitgebreide ontbijt van de eerste dag, het rijden door het dorp, het liftpassen kopen, de eerste bochten die ik draai, de warme chocolademelk met slagroom om elf uur, de kaiserschmarren om half twee, de sauna of het bad om vijf uur, de pizza of patat met schnitzel rond een uurtje of zeven, het super vroeg naar bed gaan met een boek, het wakker worden om zeven uur om voor dag en dauw broodjes te gaan halen in een super stil dorpje en dan weer het hele ritueel van de chocolademelk en alles herhalen, tot zaterdagochtend een uurtje of half vier, zelfs van dat vroege opstaan en die treurige autorit op weg naar huis, op weg naar weer 358 dagen wachten op de wintersport, zelfs daar kan ik zo intens van genieten. Pas als ik thuis kom is mijn stemming toch wel een klein beetje minder.

Balen dat het met je scriptie niet zo goed gaat :( Soms moet je het even laten liggen tot je weer inspiratie krijgt. Maar het moet op een gegeven moemnt wel komen natuurlijk ;)
