Zij laat me kennis maken met de bobble waterflessen, zij koopt alle hippe kleurtjes nagellak en ondertussen leent zij mijn Tiffany’s ketting en m’n Chaneloorbellen. Het is dat we drie schoenmaten schelen en twee kledingmaten, anders zouden we continu bij elkaar shoppen.
Roos is kieskeurig en weet precies wat ze wil en denk maar niet dat ze voor iets minder zal gaan. Ze is perfectionistisch tot in het extreme toe, ze heeft de discipline van Anna Wintour en de benen van Kate Moss (in haar jonge jaren). Ze heeft de ogen van mijn vader, de tassentic van Mama (en mij) en de lippen, ja hoe ze daar aan komt dat vraag ik me nog steeds af.
Vandaag werd Roos zestien en helaas zal ik haar slechts vijftien minuutjes zien. Maar vanmorgen trakteerde ze Lily’s Cupcakes op school (het mochten echt geen anderen zijn!), ik heb me laten vertellen dat ze een strokenrokje van spijkerstof draagt en haar nieuwe tas van Liebeskind. Ze schijnt het luchtje van Gucci (Flora) wat ik samen met m’n broertje voor haar gekocht heb, heel erg lekker te vinden en ik ga haar zo even lekker een kwartier lang knuffelen (en een stukje hazelnootschuimgebak eten).
