Voor mij staat de lente gelijk aan vrolijkheid, zon, frisse geuren, liefde, fruit, auto raampjes die opengaan, doelloos door de stad paraderen, zonnebrillen, kleur en… vrolijke liedjes!
Waar ik deze liedjes op heb geselecteerd? Ik heb ze allemaal toegevoegd in april, van 2004 tot en met 2010 en daardoor zijn het allemaal stuk voor stuk lenteliedjes geworden voor mij.
Zo hoorde ik Yellow (deze versie, live opgenomen tijdens concert in Sidney) voor het eerst in de voorjaarsvakantie in Italie in 2004, als ik dit nummer hoor denk ik nog steeds aan citroenijsjes, dobberen op een luchtbedje en de muffe geur na een regenbui op een zwoele avond. Can’t Stop Lovin’ You is voor mij een nummer waar ik instant vrolijk van wordt en hetzelfde geldt ook voor Hoku’s Perfect Day. En moet ik nu nog uitleggen waarom ik Here Comes The Sun van The Beatles zo geweldig fijn vind?
