Sinds de eerste keer dat mijn oog op het boek viel, in 2007, zit het in mijn hoofd. Ieder bezoekje aan de American Book Center was niet compleet zonder eventjes in het boek gebladerd te hebben. Vorig jaar kwam een goedkopere pocketversie uit, maar die hoefde ik niet. Ik wilde de Real Deal. Een prachtig Salontafel-boek vol met covers van de Britse Vogue. De eerste Cover dateert uit 1916, een tijd waarin covers nog geen foto’s waren maar tekeningen.
Ik hoef sinds een paar weken niet meer naar de ABC om er in te bladeren, ik kreeg het van mijn Oma cadeau voor mijn Bachelor. Perfect cadeau. Heerlijk om dode momenten mee te vullen en ik kan niet wachten om het op mijn salontafel te leggen; eigenlijk kan ik er niet op wachten een huisje te hebben waar ik een salontafel in kan zetten om er vervolgens mijn boek erop te leggen.
